Tentang Adverbial Clause & Participle

• Participle yang terdiri dari present participle (V1-ing) dan past participle (V-3) dapat diaplikasikan pada adverbial clause baik pada active voice maupun passive voice.
• Present participle dan Past participle ini digunakan untuk mereduksi adverbial clause.

Contoh Participle pada Reduced Adverbial Clause

Beberapa contoh penerapan present participle dan past participle pada reduced adverbial clause baik pada active voice maupun passive voice dengan  beberapa conjunction adalah sebagai berikut.

Participle	Conjunction	Contoh Kalimat Adverbial Clause —> Reduced Adverbial Clause
Present Participle	because/as/since (mereduksi kalimat dengan 2 kegiatan dengan 1 subject yang terjadi secara bersamaan atau menyatakan sebab akibat)	Active Voice	Since she can operate the computer expertly, he is accepted as IT staff. –> Operating the computer expertly, she is accepted as IT staff.
	when, after & before (mereduksi kalimat dengan 2 kegiatan dengan 1 subject yang terjadi secara berurutan (peristiwa pertama telah selesai (perfect tense))		He has studied hard enough before she does the test. –> Doing the test, he has study hard enough.
Past Participle	because/as/since (mereduksi kalimat dengan 2 kegiatan dengan 1 subject yang terjadi secara bersamaan atau menyatakan sebab akibat)	Passive Voice	Because she had not been bought the toy, the little girl cried loudly. –> Not having been bought the toy, the little girl cried loudly.
	when, after & before (mereduksi kalimat dengan 2 kegiatan dengan 1 subject yang terjadi secara berurutan (peristiwa pertama telah selesai (perfect tense))		After she had been invited, she attended the meeting. –> Having been invited, she attended the meeting.
